It is not only the carefully crafted menu and consistently outstanding food that keeps regulars at Rick’s Place coming back again and again. To be honest, it’s mostly Rick himself and the way you feel when you are treated to the hospitability of him and his team. Rick has a way making his customers feel like family and trust me, it’s not a performance. He genuinely cares about the service he provides and the customers he provides it to. There is a very good reason why Rick’s Place consistently receives five star ratings, it is JUST. THAT. GOOD.
So for a restaurant that prides itself on customer service, what happens when the customers can no longer dine in? Simple, Rick brings the top notch service directly and personally to his customers. You heard me right, the man who runs the show, delivers the food. I asked Rick why he was taking this approach, surely he could hire a driver to drop off the food. Wouldn’t it be more efficient?
“I really like having that connection with the customers, it’s what my business is all about and it’s just that important that people know I care. I want them to have a great experience regardless of whether they are eating in the restaurant or at home, so I make sure I deliver it.” Rick said.
Judging by the great reviews online, it’s clear the team have maintained their high quality food and service.
Michael said, “Great food, and quality delivery. We hadn’t tried it before and thought it a great idea for a lockdown date night. My wife had the burnt butter gnocchi, and I had the fettuccine. Both of us could not stop eating the food. We also had the sticky date pudding and tiramisu. All very delicious and so glad that they are able to be around even during these hard times. Definitely looking forward to eating from them again.”
“Ordered dinner tonight as a take away via delivery. Everything was delicious. We had garlic bread, pasta gnocchi and risotto. The sticky date pudding was the yummiest pudding I’ve had in years. Rick is super lovely. Definitely recommend this place.” said Donna
It really goes to show that you can’t keep a good restaurant down. Rick’s Place is providing the same outstanding offer via takeaway and delivery as well as a brand new menu which offers unbelievable choice for vegetarians and a younger local crowd. A whole new customer base is taking notice and it will be harder than ever to get a seat on that stunning rooftop in Kensington when it reopens. Perhaps it’s time to lock in your visit now.
